Student engagement and outcomes can be affected by how an online course is taught.  Whether you are the original designer of the course or not, there are things the faculty should consider in regards to facilitation.  This session will address four factors that we have found to affect the facilitation of an online course and will be beneficial for any instructor, novice to expert and course designer to facilitator.

Panopto Focus Training

Announcing Panopto Focus Training 

ITS Outreach & Distance Learning Technologies is pleased to introduce training for the Panopto Focus lecture capture platform that is available to the Distance Learning Faculty.

Hands-on Workshops
Workshops are available for both the Windows and Mac operating systems. The following sessions are available during Phase One of ITS workshops for Fall Semester, 2011: 

Technology Assistance at First Fridays Sessions

First Fridays will be held every Friday during the month of August, from 9:00am until 4:00pm. 

The ITS Outreach & Distance Learning Technologies department is pleased to offer First Fridays sessions to assist you with questions regarding computer software programs used at KSU. This service is being made available to provide as much technology assistance as possible to KSU’s faculty and staff members. Each session will be held in Room 477 of the Burruss Building. 

Smart Board Training

SMART board training will be held in Kennesaw Hall, Room 2105; this is on the Education side of the building, closest to the Burruss building. The trainings will take place at the following dates and times.

August 19, 2011 9am – 12pm
September 16, 2011 9am -12pm

This workshop will show you how to use the Camtasia software to record actions on your computer screen, and then edit your work, to create professional-quality tutorials. The workshop lasts for three hours.
